FSCJ is great as far as community colleges go. All the campuses I have visited have been very clean and pretty, and the faculty and staff are professional and helpful. I have never felt unsafe while walking around campus, and the security guards are easy to reach- you'll usually bump into one at least once a day.

My biggest issue with FSCJ is the name "Florida State" College at Jacksonville -- mimicking top tier Schools and it seems as a result some of the professors have followed suit on the severity of grading. This is a serious problem. I expect this level of grading at FSU or UF. I believe this college needs to change its name to reflect what it is.

Overall, it's been a great three semesters ever since I came here. If you take the right professors and network with the right people, it'll be great for you too. Take advantage of certificate programs, SGA, and student employment- IT HELPS in many ways. You don't have to be a social butterfly to do so. Downtown is unsafe. Evening classes is a NO.

Finished my AA and Certification. Professors are super awesome (Not all keep in mind). Classes are manageable if you do the work and fair. Advisors always keep you on track so you don't get lost. Only issue is not all classes are in the same campus, so driving different campus is the only challenge for this school. Wish they had more professors.

A great low cost opportunity!! Started at UNF and was recommend some classes at FSCJ. Even the UNF advisors said classes here are just as good if not more, due to the smaller class sizes.

I love FSCJ the professors connect with the students, classrooms are small in size and advising is very helpful. I left UNF to come back to FSCJ after obtaining my AS/AA. FSCJ is home for me and I’m excited to complete my bachelor degree in biomedical science program here!

No art classes online. No German courses,No way to earn Arts degree without being in Person which does not help me because I live an hour and 15 min away. You can not even take Graphics Design remotely. They also require you to score much higher than schools nearby Like Daytona State. FSCJ likes to charge for remedial math classes you do not need.
